Community Development

To build truly inclusive communities, you need to provide opportunities beyond your own experience. Rock Creek Foundation’s Community Development Services allows you to do just that. Through various activities, community programs, and alternate employment, our participants experience stability, structure, and social connection with their fellow community members.

Community Development Services asks our individuals to set aside up to 30 hours per week to engage with others in integrated community activities. Participants are people just like you — those who are retired, employed in the community for less than four hours a day, or simply individuals who want to explore other kinds of employment opportunities.

As a pioneer of life-changing programs for our individuals, Rock Creek Foundation’s Community Development Services integrates community activities. Through their involvement, individuals will have a chance to develop personally and professionally, improve their mental health and wellbeing, and build a group of social connections within their local community.

Our service also assists individuals in developing the skills and social supports that are needed to gain employment, educate themselves, advocate for special assistance, and develop community connections. The best part is that this service is completely personalized and tailored to their individual needs.
